Nicole Sullivan

Nicole is our Impact Director, supporting a wide range of companies to evolve their sustainability strategy, improve their impacts, and effectively communicate with the market. She is passionate about understanding the unique context of each business and working alongside them so that they can succeed sustainably. Her deep experience with the building products industry and green buildings bring practical and pragmatic insight to her strategic focus.

With a degree in chemical engineering and 18 years of process engineering experience, Nicole understands manufacturing at the ‘hard-hat level’. Using her extensive expertise in engineering, sustainability, and marketing, she wants to spur on the sustainable transformation of the built environment using accessible language. 

Prior to thinkstep-anz, Nicole worked as Senior Manager of Green Star Solutions at the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) for four years. She is based in Sydney and loves helping businesses along their sustainability journey, including their understanding of Green Star at both strategic and practical levels.

Nicole is an expert member of panels for organisations like the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), Materials and Embodied Carbon Leaders’ Alliance (MECLA), ARC Steel Research and the Australian Circular Economy (ACE) Hub, and is on the Board for Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society (ALCAS).

Nicole is a wife and mother of two boys, and likes to find time for sewing, reading, and getting out in nature.
