Simon has been with thinkstep-anz since its inception in 2006. Simon and Nicci founded the Australasian branch of thinkstep, formerly known as PE International. They have watched proudly as this has developed and grown into thinkstep-anz.
Simon is an expert in Hydrogen-Powered Fuel Cell Transport with more than 20 years of experience working on projects throughout Europe, Asia and North America. He also conceived, planned and managed a fuel cell bus project – Sustainable Transport Energy for Perth (STEP) – in Western Australia. Simon has considerable policy development and implementation experience working as a Principal Policy Officer for a Government Minister, and working with politicians, public officials and special interest lobby groups from industry and the community in Australia and in Europe.
Simon is married to Nicci and they have three adult children and eight grandchildren. He plays the bagpipes and has competed in the World Bagpipe Championships in Glasgow on four occasions. He loves their Western Australian ‘retreat’ where they have planted 25,000 trees as part of a rehabilitation project.
