Sam is a certified Life Cycle Assessment practitioner who helps clients work out the environmental footprint of their products, and identifies areas where improvements can be best made. Much of his work is done with specialist sustainability software which tracks environmental data. This data gives businesses the knowledge they need to make informed decisions to create a more sustainable future.
Sam worked on a report with the Green Building Council of Australia that showed embodied emissions (from materials and construction) will become an increasingly large percentage of a building’s emissions by 2050.
A Wellington native, Sam graduated from the University of Adelaide with a BE(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, specialising in renewable energy. He is currently studying a Masters’ in Sustainability at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
He is a fan of hiking, football, running, cooking, craft beer, pub quizzes and historical documentaries.
