Margarita (also known as Rita) is part of our client engagement team, helping prospective clients navigate their sustainability needs and supporting current clients with their projects. With a passion for integrating sustainability into business strategies, Margarita believes every organisation can enhance their brand and reduce costs by embedding sustainability into their operations.
She holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) from AUT University and has four years of experience in New Zealand's horticulture sector, specialising in supply chain and operational sustainability. Her work has spanned reducing landfill waste, calculating carbon emissions, sustainability reporting and sustainable finance.
Margarita's dedication to sustainability was recognised when she was selected as a finalist in the Change Maker category at the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) Awards in 2022. She envisions a future where sustainability is a seamless part of business, contributing to a world where resources are shared, and people thrive.
Margarita enjoys yoga, meditation and spending time in nature. She also loves travelling, hiking and painting. Originally from Siberia, Margarita moved to New Zealand at 16 and has been passionate about sustainability ever since.
