Caroline comes from the world of product development where she cut her teeth as a product designer and brand identity specialist. She is a creative who is excellent at connecting dots and clarifying the real reason – 'the why' – of a product/service or project. Solution focused and pragmatic, she loves embedding sustainability through design thinking and a life cycle approach and will always consider what is best for a brand, the planet, and the actual product (or service).
Originally from the Netherlands, Caroline gained her Masters in product design from the Royal College of Art in London. Prior to joining thinkstep she had a wide and varied career collaborating with start-ups, SMEs, government, and corporations in Europe and New Zealand. Through her work within many different industries, she became increasingly aware of the role of the designer and the urgency to address the sustainability challenges we are facing. Naturally, this led her to thinkstep-anz.
Obsessed with giraffes since a young age, she has managed her expectations with a whippet dog, the closest household-friendly replacement she could find.
