We’re a finalist in the 2021 Plain English Awards

We’re excited to be a finalist in the 2021 Plain English Awards. These awards celebrate Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading business communicators – organisations and people who are telling complex business stories in clear, easy-to-understand English language.  They recognise our country’s Plain English champions publicly.

“This is an outstanding recognition of our team and our approach to bridging the gap between the sustainability tribe and business leaders”, says our thinkstep-anz CEO Barbara Nebel. “This nomination is something I feel very proud of. It means our work is being publicly recognised, and it’s a great motivation to do even more.”

At thinkstep-anz, our mission is to help businesses succeed sustainably. We want to make sustainability core to our clients’ business strategies and decisions. Providing science-based advice like life cycle assessments and carbon footprinting studies is an important part of what we do. Taking the next step by translating our work and our clients’ achievements into ‘Plain English’ is critical too. And it’s hugely important to speed up the move to a low carbon economy which leaves no-one being left behind.

So how do we describe ourselves? Not as sustainability consultants, but as translators. Our languages are sustainability, business and Plain English.
