Bringing our trans-Tasman team together in person for team days in Wellington last week was a real treat. It was the first time many of us had met one another away from a Microsoft Teams screen. This was partly due to the disruptions of the last few years but also because we’ve grown so much! With team members working across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, having everyone connect was special.

We spent two and a half days at the Lyall Bay Surf Club in Wellington. Each team explained the work they do and what our clients need from us to succeed sustainably. We worked on business plans, learned more about our clients and the changing world of sustainability, and got to know one another. It was a good balance of Post It note planning and coffee.
Aside from the business planning we also explored the streets of central Wellington in an Amazing Race. Six teams had to find obscure places and complete fun challenges to gain points. A good time was had by all and, no, we won’t be sharing the videos with clients!
We’ve now returned to our thinkstep-anz offices and home offices. The team enjoyed connecting and planning where we’re heading. Together we’ll continue to help our clients succeed sustainably.
